The fifth annual Hair Ball to benefit Spay-Neuter Services of Indiana (SNSI) will be held Saturday, October 3, 2009 from 2 to 5:30 p.m. at the Robert Irsay Charity Pavilion in Carmel, Ind. The family-friendly event, presented by the PETCO Foundation, features both silent and live auctions, live music, a baked-goods sale, children’s activities and free food, wine, beer and soft drinks.

Musical entertainment will be provided by Circle City Bluegrass Band. Local businesses and individuals have graciously donated products and services for the two auctions, so attendees are encouraged to bid on some great prizes. Top prizes for the auctions include luxury vacation accommodations at resorts in Longboat Key, Florida and several other locations, a hot air balloon ride, celebrity autographs and memorabilia including items from Tony Stewart, Reggie Miller, Joseph Addai and Peyton Manning, sporting event tickets, as well as many thousands of dollars in additional merchandise and services from area businesses.

Food and beverage sponsors for the 2008 Hair Ball include Bazbeaux Pizza, Chipotle Mexican Grill, MacNiven’s Restaurant and Bar, and Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery Northside.

Admission to the 2009 Hair Ball is through a $20 minimum donation per person (advance sale). Admission is free for children 16 years old or younger. Attendees who donate $45 or more to join the Snipper Society will be covering the full cost of one spay-neuter surgery. If available, event-day admission passes can be purchased at the door for $25 each. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register for this event as space is limited.
