Sharen I would love more information on this. I have a Pembroke Corgi that I think would make a good therapy dog. The only thing is I don't know how you go about doing this. What are the steps that need to be done? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Everyone,
We are in a "high" recruiting mode for our organization. We need more volunteers and dogs to visit all the places that want us. If you have ever considered Pet Therapy please feel free to contact one of us for more information. Just email us and we will get back to you soon. By the way I am Holly-Pup Ambassador for Love on a Leash "healing paws chapter".

The rewards are so great doing this kind of work. We love to watch the changes in the kids we visit. It sure does a lot for self-esteem.

Hi there. I live in Texas, but I love Therapy dogs. I'm in the process of getting a service dog. Her name is Molly. But I'm training my cocker spaniel for therapy work. Molly has two friends named Buster and Zach that are therapy and services dogs too. I love taking Buster and Zach to nursing homes. We're getting ready to hopefully start a therapy dog program in some of our surrounding schools. I can't wait!

Please come out to Waterman's Pumpkin Farm on Raymond Street. We will have a booth on Saturdays and Sunday's the first through the fourth weekends from 10 am to 8 pm. Great Fun. Bring the family and visit us.

My dog licks the furniture constantly. What is this about?

Oh no! It’s very possible the poor guy has a tummyache. Maybe his prepared kibble is giving him some acid reflux? But, it could also be a hiatal hernia, which is a weakness of the diaphragm that allows a bubble from the stomach to come up into the chest cavity.

Humans with this have GERD – gastroesophageal reflux disease -- and are often given antacids, which have been linked to…

Indiana’s Weather For Tuesday

seven-day-indy-scaled
Back to work, and back to the 80s today, for the first time since Friday. A weak cold front goes through in the morning, bringing an early to mid morning period of some (much needed) showers and storms to central Indiana. Radar will then grow quiet, and you can have lunch outside today, unless you’re [...]
