Sunny. Thanks for the information.  I see that you guys will be at the Great Indy Pet Expo next weekend so I will be stopping by your booth.  I just can't get this cancer thing out of my mind.

Diane, Keep me posted about Daisy.  If you need information or someone to talk to, let us know.  I have an array of people and we will be offering a workshop again soon.  Also, Circle City has a monthly group that meets, CALM and we post things on our Facebook page.  I am trying something new with my rescue who has SCC of the jaw.  So far so good - actually it is better than good.  It isn't something that you would ever think of, but I am doing my own study and I am amazed at the results so far.  I wish I had known of this when Sierra-Nevada was diagnosed.

Daisy had a spot on her leg that looked angry.  Her surgery to remove it was 10/26/2011 and the biopsy report was not good news..it was cancer.  We are praying that it doesn't come back.

We want to thank Pet Pals TV for sharing with their audience about canine/pet cancer, the 10 warning signs and how important it is to know your pet well enough you KNOW there is something wrong. We hope to see lots of you at our next workshop on May 17th at the Delaware Township Hall in Fishers.

My dog licks the furniture constantly. What is this about?

Oh no! It’s very possible the poor guy has a tummyache. Maybe his prepared kibble is giving him some acid reflux? But, it could also be a hiatal hernia, which is a weakness of the diaphragm that allows a bubble from the stomach to come up into the chest cavity.

Humans with this have GERD – gastroesophageal reflux disease -- and are often given antacids, which have been linked to…

Indiana’s Weather For Tuesday

seven-day-indy-scaled
Back to work, and back to the 80s today, for the first time since Friday. A weak cold front goes through in the morning, bringing an early to mid morning period of some (much needed) showers and storms to central Indiana. Radar will then grow quiet, and you can have lunch outside today, unless you’re [...]
