My name is Angela and I have grown into being the "mommy" to three Vizslas. It was a somewhat bumpy transition for us even though we had both owned other dogs.
I supported and encouraged my husband Scott in the creation of a Vizsla DVD for potential and current Vizsla owners because it breaks my heart when a family feels they have to give up a dog because they were not prepared for the commitment.
Both Scott and myself look forward to the day when no Vizsla puppies or adult dogs have to be rescued or given up because people did not have the resources to handle this highly energetic breed.
We are absolutely in love with Vizslas and want to support and encourage people who are a good match for this wonderful breed!

I Dream of a Day...

I dream of a day when our shelters are empty and people are on wait lists for strays and dogs are in demand from responsible breeders who are improving the quality and health of their breed.
I dream of a day when no dogs are surrendered, but only rehomed in unforseen circumstances.
I dream of a day when having to move temporarily to a place that doesn't allow pets doesn't mean you lose your pet forever.
I dream of a day when we don't have…

Diane Powell said… Vizslas are beautiful dogs. I don't know anything about this breed but you did say that they are very energetic. Beagles are energetic too. They keep us busy and healthy... don't they? It is wonderful that we all have our favorite breed of dogs.
