Heartworm Prevention

Tomorrow's the 1st of the month - a good day to remember to give your pet his or her monthly heartworm preventative. Dogs and cats need to receive heartworm prevention once monthly, all year long.



There are many products to choose from. Your veterinarian can recommend the best product for your dog or cat. Most preventatives will also prevent common intestinal parasites (worms). Some products even prevent fleas and ear mites too!

Thank you for the kind words...i love my Louie, and I have 3 1/2 kitties, too (next door neighbor's cat comes in to eat and sleep...I guess that kinda makes her my cat!)

Greeting people....

A very common issue people have with their dogs is that they jump on people who visit the home. The problem typically starts with their guests--often dog lovers that greet the dogs with all those silly voices, oohs and ahhs. They're anxious to pet and love all over the dogs, and that creates over-excitement. Dogs learn very quickly the association between the door bell and the attention that follows.

That problem can be fixed very easily with proper handling by the owner and the cooper
