From what I read, the Potassium Bromide is a little easier on their system than the pheno, so I was a little apprehensive to up the doses of pheno, which is what the vet originally wanted to do.  When we added the PB, it was magic, and we…

Yeah, our vet said if the phenobarb wasn't working after a while, he'd like for us to add that potassium bromide but we were concerned if it might just be too much for Charlie, but if it's something that has worked, and if it would help him not have as many (we go through weeks at a time without any and then he'll have 3-4 a week) then I think it'd be worth it. But I'm glad Fred's been doing better!!! I'd do anything for my furkids no matter the cost. Some people just aren't as lucky as we are to have this unconditional love from our pups and kits. :)

His have sort of gotten worse and our vet said we could put him on another medication along with the current, and we're a little hesitant, but I was just reading that Fred was doing really well on both meds. Just kinda curious. BTW, love that he's named Fred Astaire!!!
