Paws & Claws Ride for Rescues at Harley Davidson of Indianapolis

August 27, 2011 all day
3rd Annual ride to benefit the Humane Society for Boone County, a 501(c)3 run completely by volunteers.  All proceeds will go towards "Operation Shelter". Registration begins at 9am and Harley Davidson of Indianapolis 4146 E 96th Street, kickstands up at 10:30. Stops include Spykes HD in Frankfort, and will end at LA Cafe in Whitestown at about 3pm with food, fun, prizes, and a silent auction.

My dog licks the furniture constantly. What is this about?

Oh no! It’s very possible the poor guy has a tummyache. Maybe his prepared kibble is giving him some acid reflux? But, it could also be a hiatal hernia, which is a weakness of the diaphragm that allows a bubble from the stomach to come up into the chest cavity.

Humans with this have GERD – gastroesophageal reflux disease -- and are often given antacids, which have been linked to…
