They have it good! They are loved,well fed, warm and safe, their medical needs are met. Mostly they are treasured MEMBERS of the family!

Dogs in need

Well dogs in need are everywhere, and I take care of Children in need every week in my job as an emergency room nurse at Riley Hospital. But the pets, to see them suffer and be SO limited i what I can do for them tears at my heart. I can give pain meds and antibiotics, and offer food and water, but I can't make them eat or drink. When these little souls are suffering I am so limited in what I can do for them. So I murmur sweet nothings in the dogs ear and ask everyone I know about what kind…

So we might take in the dogs that AREN'T 100% chihuahua just because they are in real need of a safe place and they are deserving of a second chance. What happens then is that we are not able to take in all the chihuahuas that come our way. I am FULL to the gills at present and 1 of my Indy fosters is unable to take in another dog for personal reasons. Chihuahua Rescue fosters in Indianapolis have 15 dogs that are in need of wonderful homes. All have individual personalities so there's something for everyone. These pets all are so loving and deserving. Some will require experienced and assertive pet adopters. Mocha was one of my very 1st rescue doggies, I got a call from Johnson County Animal Control about this CUTE little chihuahua daschund, and she had been micro-chipped but none of her numbers were active.
So I went and picked up the absolute MOST adorable little female chi-doxie..... My husband's sister, Sue Wheeler, fell inlove with her and though she was already neutered, per out rescue requirements, she got shots and and a heart worm test updated. Well LOW and BEHOLD, her heartworm…
