Patty: Thanks for the information on the website and blog!  If you ever want to do a great piece on Canine Companions for Independence (oldest/largest service dog provider in the US), we have a great volunteer chapter here in Indy! The Indy Champions are puppy raisers and graduates of the program.  CCI provides all service dogs free of charge to their graduates and has a fabulous Veterans Initiative - we have  been to visit our local VA hospital with the pups and grads!

Thanks so much for the info, Patty!  Sorry to hear of your diagnosis but with your positive attitude and happy spirit I know it will not get you down.  I have always admired your beautiful smile and joyful personality even back in the WISHTV days with Eric.

I hope to do the walk with my dog, Sunnie, who was born deaf.  :)

Hello Patty,

How have you and Louie been? Me and my furry family have been great. Im writting to see if you can help.  Me and my friend Sherry help at the Anderson Animal care and control.  They recieved this dog named Pheonix and he needs some help BAD.  Not sure on the whole story but with someone like you putting it out there on TV I know all of the fans of PetPals TV would help.

Hello Patty my dear - my sister Jan Nasser who still lives in Indy, well Carmel has been following your show and emails it to me weekly, so I thought duh, why don't I just sign up for it myself ....and the rest is history.

My whole family is insane about animals. Jan and her husband Tom Nasser, an endodontist in Carmel are very much involved in Pilots for Paws. Tom is also a pilot and owns his own plane so they fly all over picking up pups or kitties or whatever and fly them to their new loving homes through the organization. Jan is also an avid horsewoman, has two Arabians (we ride when ever I'm back home)  and is a member of Red Hats and Purple Chaps. They are about rescuing abused and abandoned horses. I have a niece who rescues Greyhounds down here in Florida from the awful race tracks and I do what I can to help out with all these organizations. I had a TV segment called Protecting Your Pet that aired weekly here in Miami when I was working for the local Fox station as a medical reporter/anchor.

It was my favorite segment.

Anyway I just wanted to say hi and if there is any thing I can do to help you just ask. I am in Indy much of the time and am considering moving back. If you ever want to do a story with any of the groups I can certainly hook you up. There are so many great stories that really pull at the heartstrings. Also if you need help producing or reporting for your show I'd be happy to do that too. I think what you're doing is great. There are so many helpless creatures out there who need our help. We are all they've got. Bless you for putting on a great show. I will do what I can to promote you, it and our four legged friends.

Sincerely,

MM
