- Max turned 8 in December and he is as active as he was when he was 2. Max goes to a Juvenile Correctional Facility once a week and the boys are working with him to get him ready to take the therapy dog test. The only part of the test that he can't pass is greeting another dog and owner. He barks his head off. He trots on a treadmill for at least 50 minutes a day. I am going to be taking him to a doggy daycare so he can learn how to meet other dogs. He loves everyone he meets and is a great dog.

Oh no! It’s very possible the poor guy has a tummyache. Maybe his prepared kibble is giving him some acid reflux? But, it could also be a hiatal hernia, which is a weakness of the diaphragm that allows a bubble from the stomach to come up into the chest cavity.
