Excellent point, and yes, you are on the list of rescues 'to do'...Do you know there are more than 300 rescues/shelters/foster programs in Indiana alone?..and I'm sure those are just the one who've applied for status...many go unnoticed and unannounced. We decided to do the Great Dane rescue in June, because of the soon-to-be popularity of Marmaduke, the movie coming out soon, and then the rush to buy a Great Dane, with folks thinking they are just like 'in the movie'. In fact they require special considerations, as do all breeds.We will get to you, God willing, Thank u for your patience!

No kids for me either, just a big dog and 4 cats..and they are well behaved...! It's not the kids fault, it's the parents...just like a dog or a pet...don't have a kid if you can't take care of it...simple...!

Yep,everything you say is true.
My children and grand children where raised around dogs,my daugther
has 5 siamese cats,one german shepard and a french bulldog.
We thaugth them how to act around animals.
What is troubling me is the fact that acording to news sources,
the family has allready hired a attorney.
I can see where that is going.I do feel for that little boy,it is not his fault,it is the adults who where with him.

I would guess"uncle Bill" is a pet shop.
I wish they would close all this joints down.
Just read about the dog attack at Hamilton Cty shelter.
Lord,I wish this would not have happend.
Those shelters are strugling to be begin with.

Wish my house was bigger so I could adopt another one.
