as far as the attacke goes, the child should have been held by the hand & not left to wonder. dogs are barking all over the place , kids usually pull at the fencing. see i'm in rescue, i couldn't tell you how many single mothers buy a pup for a 1 & 2 year old. well the pup starts growing up & the toe nails are sharpe & scratches the kid. well what does think a pup does "NOTHING" don't get me wrong, i love kids & have 3 nieces, one helps me with rescue. they are respectful around animals. kids hands start flying & a dog is eye level with a kid. people just don't think. just like at walmart kids do what ever they want. i could have taken many children out of there. i worked for american greetings there

I did see a cute little white piggie, just yesterdy on a leash..pulled the car over and ran out to talk to the owner..of 'Oliver'..miniature, won't get very big at all....he's a rescue, so that's all good...he was dressed up in a Manning sweater..no kidding..
