Dog Day Afternoon Is History...

Whew...tired puppy, oh and Louie. Pleased to say Dog Day Afternoon in Carmel was a howling success....vendors, dogs, people, prizes, treats... it was all there. And dogs of every size and shape...owners of every size and shape, too! But only a snarl or two, between a few dogs ( perhaps a few owners, too) and that was it. Of course, these are all responsible pet owers who know how to control their doggies...

Actually, taking your dog to events like this,…

OK Go video with cute and talented dogs!

This is an awesome video. This musical group usually can do their videos in one take! The dogs are the real stars, though.

Pet Deer throat slashed

I have seen this deer and he was so calm and docile. My dog barked at him as we drove by and it didn't phase him at all. I wish and hope more can be done to this horrible person.

Lymes Disease Help

Has anyone delt with lymes disease with their dog? If so how long was the treatment and what side effects did the dog have? My Dane had lymes for a long while, along with some other HORRIBLE health issues when we first rescued him. The vet thinks he had the lymes for a while and we didn't know due to everything else going on with him at the time. He is now 5 yrs old but still is having issues. We can't say for sure its due to the…

Help Needed - Charlie, Molly, & Noah

We received Charlie (4), Molly (2.5), and Noah (11 months pictured) from a shelter. They were abandoned by their owners and left locked in their home for approximately a month without food. Noah was/is an extremely critical growth period and suffered tremendously. If he can be saved, he will require major medical intervention. Charlie developed cherry eye and will need surgery to correct it. They are all severely malnourished and infested with fleas. Their bodies…

Did you meet Daisy already?

The challenge with Daisy is a common one. Her energy level is incredibly high and she has been lacking the proper physical exercise to keep her mind and body balanced. In addition, Daisy was never properly socialized with other dogs--so what appears to be aggressive behavior with other dogs is…

The Small Dog Syndrome

There is something about little dogs. Most people love to squeeze them, hug them, kiss them, hold them; but nobody wants to discipline them. It seems that some people (well, most people), love it when the little guy shows some big dog attitude, like growling, barking…
