Another Nico? Kelly Gibson finds blind & deaf pooch in the L.A. pound....

If you were touched by Nico's story and his journey from California to Indiana, perhaps you'd consider opening your heart to Chance... this is the only image my friend Kelly currently has of this boy, but you can see he is a solid white pit bull. He is both blind and deaf. He was found wandering with another doggie friend, and assumed to have an owner due to general good health, but no one ever claimed him. Who would leave a blind and deaf boy to wander in the big scary world? What must he be thinking now... in the pound, surrounded by unfamiliar smells and no one to touch him reassuringly. Chance needs a special person to guide him thru his silent, dark world.

He responds to touch and follows when led, and probably follows the scent of his person. He can be left alone in a crate, and can be left alone outside in a fenced area to feel his way around and enjoy the sunshine. Indoors, he would do well if he had a designated "spot" that he could call his own bed. Dogs like this can be trained with a little practice to respond to touch commands and treats.

If you are at all interested in giving Chance a happy home or even a foster home, please email me at dana@ironunderdawgs.com. Let's get this guy outta doggie jail!! :) --D

Humans with this have GERD – gastroesophageal reflux disease -- and are often given antacids, which have been linked to…

Indiana’s Weather For Wednesday

seven-day-indy-scaled
Take a deep breath. We are finished with the 80′s and 90′s for the rest of the week and at least half the weekend. Expect breezy, dry west to northwest winds today and a good dose of sunshine. The mix tomorrow will be mostly clouds, and we’ve got a decent shot at wonderfully wet, widespread [...]
