There are 12 days left to get your raffle tickets and a chance to win 1 of 2 iPads with all proceeds benefiting Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue. 12 seems to be a popular number since that is also the number of fosters we are currently treating and finding homes for. We have had a few tough cases with these 12...after being used again and again for a breeding dog, Mabel has had her last litter and found her way to our rescue just in time to treat her heartworm. Millie came into our rescue almost two weeks ago after running stray with her companion, Winston. Millie had an obvious injury to her tail. But upon further examination, we noticed that she had chewed the first two or three inches of her tail almost completely off! Unfortunately it was dead and all we could do was try to treat the infection that was slowly making its way up her tail. After a week of soaks and antibiotics, it began to die as well and Millie had to have another 6 inches of her tail removed.
So, if you have ever considered purchasing an iPad for you or someone else, why not try your luck while helping to save some animals?
