I came home tonight after a grueling yet productive day and realized I had some clothes strewn on the floor upstairs, and there was some paper left on the floor in the den from something I had written and discarded, and 2 water bottles in another room in the corner.
Why am I admitting that I had a 'sloppy' day?
To illustrate a point...Louie, my Berner, doesn't care a whit. (Neither do the 4 kitties!)
Dogs and cats don't mind if you are messy, in fact, they prefer things on the floor! I daily put Louie's 'inside toys' back in his toy box by the couch, and 2 minutes later they are all out on the floor again. Dogs don't judge you if you have a messy day. People do.
Dogs also think it's proper to raise your voice a bit to get a point across. They know a stern command, and respect it. People think raising your voice is annonying.
Dogs like to have order and boundaries, so they know you are in charge of the situation. People think you are a diva and demanding if you set strict rules.
Dogs don't care if you have bad indigestion and even produce some 'silent emmissions'..( of course, I'm almost deaf, so they are all silent!) Need we say what people would think of this!!??!!!
Dogs love it when you cook for them, even if you *can't* cook! (Just ask my ex-husband...no wait, don't ask him anything..nevermind.)
If you miss your morning shower routine and end up wearing the same clothes 2 days in a row, this is a real plus for your dog. You smell like YOU, only more so...excellent! We know what people think of this, don't we??
Dogs never ask to bring their mother home and have her spend the weekend. In fact, they don't care if they ever see any of their blood relatives again. They have you, You're all they want. People have all kinds of family baggage to often interfer with a one-on-one relationship.
Dogs think you are smart and wonderful. Not all people think that of you, or me.
Sorry to say.
Oh yeah, and if you have a bad day, your dog will lick your tears away.
People come and go in our lives. But no one will ever love you more than your dog.
Give him your heart, and he will give you his forever.
"Louie, go to bed". Time to watch TV with my favorite bed-mate...and he never asks to change the channel. We know people aren't like that, eh?
Night!
