Ruby to See Her Dreams Come True
Ruby's dreams are simple, but pure at heart. She dreams of a custom feeding stand, some soft teething rings or toys, and a warm bed to call her own until she finds her forever family. Our dreams for Ruby are not quite as simple. We hope that Ruby is a candidate for surgery.
Ruby is a 7-8 month old, Harlequin Great Dane that has had three owners, one that caused a traumatic injury to her jaw and permanent nerve damage to her face.
While Ruby's case is more extreme, she is one of 13 Great Danes that are currently in foster care with Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue awaiting medical care as simple as vaccinations to as complicated as heart worm treatment or surgery for untreated injuries such as Ruby's or Harry's.
For the month of March, Pet Supplies Plus is hosting a donation drive at all four Indianapolis locations for our group, Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue, to help us raise money for costs such as Ruby's. Please consider visiting a store to donate...pick up an extra bag of food this month, bring your special friend in for a bath or a treat, or come visit the volunteers from Forever Friends Great Dane Rescue when we host a meet and greet at each of the 4 locations. Just to make the offer to donate even more tempting, for each person that does donate on the day that we are at a store, you can enter your name for the chance to win raffle items such as Pacers vs. Celtics tickets for 4, $250 custom oil painting of your pet, and more.
