Mocha was one of my very 1st rescue doggies, I got a call from Johnson County Animal Control about this CUTE little chihuahua daschund, and she had been micro-chipped but none of her numbers were active.

So I went and picked up the absolute MOST adorable little female chi-doxie..... My husband's sister, Sue Wheeler, fell inlove with her and though she was already neutered, per out rescue requirements, she got shots and and a heart worm test updated. Well LOW and BEHOLD, her heartworm test was positive, and the vet asked me "what do you want to do?" and I said... Well she is a young happy dog and we need to give her a wonderful life... So the awesome folks at Banfield in Greenwood, worked with me for her treatment costs, knowing she was a rescue... and they treated her. Mocha, endured it all wonderfully. It has been two years now, since she was adopted, she is doing terrific, and in her loving FOREVER home in Wisconsin, she is thriving, still a happy and active little gal. The 6 weeks after her initial treatment were trying as she had to be quiet and that was NOT HER M.O. As she is quite the mover! But what a doll and she is thriving now and has a long and happy life in front of her. This is what makes Rescue worth it! Mocha and her adoptive parents, Sue and John Wheeler, are the BEST!!!

Humans with this have GERD – gastroesophageal reflux disease -- and are often given antacids, which have been linked to…

Indiana’s Weather For Wednesday

seven-day-indy-scaled
Take a deep breath. We are finished with the 80′s and 90′s for the rest of the week and at least half the weekend. Expect breezy, dry west to northwest winds today and a good dose of sunshine. The mix tomorrow will be mostly clouds, and we’ve got a decent shot at wonderfully wet, widespread [...]
